IT Cosmetics My Sculpted Face Contouring Palette Review

Before I start anything I will say this product was sent to me for reviewing purposes but It Cosmetics, but that doesn't mean I won't give my true and honest opinion on this product, like all my reviews I will be honest and tell you guys what I think and how I feel about it.

I was excited to find out that It Cosmetics was sending me this palette to review, first off I am obsessed with contouring my face, it has become a regular thing in my face routine. I had seen this palette from other youtubers and while going through the It Cosmetics website. It seemed very awesome getting 4 colors to contour and two to high light. So I was eager to try them all out, and after a few days of using different brushes, mixing the colors and finding out what worked for me, and what didn't, I can tell you all what I think about this palette.

On the website it claims this palette will help you hid the feature you want to hide and help high light what you wish to high light. That these are water proof and help your face look moisturized and healthy. Well I put this baby to the test.

The palette comes with six shades, two high light shades and four contour shades. The contour shades are more of a variety for different skin tones.

The two high light shades one being matte white and the other a shimmer white, were nice, but not my favorite. I found on my skin tone the matte white sort of disappeared into the skin, though the white with shimmer gave a nice glow, I find that someone a bit more tan than myself wouldn't get much use out of it. I would of lined to seen more variety in the high light shades, but other that than no complaints, the shimmer one worked fine with me, when applied lightly with a duo fiber stipple brush to give a nice glow (picture will be below)

the two lightest contour shades are matte, they are perfect for someone who is really pale, which is rare to find. I found the lightest contour shade worked nicely as a blush also to pull the whole look together. I mixed the 2nd lightest shade with the second darkest shade to get my perfect contour shade. And used the 2nd lightest shade to contour my chin and neck and temples. I like more of a dramatic cheek contour so thats why i mixed it with the shade below.

These two are also matte, the darkest one of way to dark for me, and the 2nd of darkest is a bit orange, but like i said above i mixed it with the 2nd lightest and it was PERFECT. Though the darkest contour shade was to dark for me, it works nice as a crease shade when blending out colors in an eye look! And would be perfect for tan/dark skin tones!

All the shades blend amazing, and are smooth and soft. As for water proof? I used them at work and they lasted me my whole shift, and on a very hot day where I went for a walk with my boyfriend. my face makeup still stayed in place. As for moistening and healthy looking? I do feel they give a nice look to the skin, you can go really dramatic (my friend who is a drag queen said this is a MUST for him) or really soft and natural looking like what I do, and it doesn't look cakey or like you just painted your face on. Its great.

Here are some swatches of the colors, like I said above they blend amazing and when using the lightest one of a blush the shimmer as a highlight and the two I mix as a contour. I haven't reached for anything else for my face, which makes it easy because I don't have to fish around in my draw to find things if I am in a rush.

Here is my befour and after look using this palette, you can see a difference in my face, but it looks natural, and has some depth to my face, not all flat and gross. But it still sort of looks like I am not wearing a lot of makeup at all, which is great.

As a makeup artist I would love to have this in my kit because it would fit a lot of skin tones for contouring, like I said my only dislike is the fact the high light shades are only white, but besides that I love this palette. And for $38 you are getting a bunch for your money/

Just a warning though this product contains some peanut oil so you may not be able to use it if you are allergic to nuts.  But other than that I don't see any reason you shouldn't try it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review, my video for the review will be up shortly! (tomorrow hopfuly)
