If you have been following my blog for awhile you know I am a fan of more so glowly foundations than matte, so for awhile I have been looking at the Loreal Lumi foundation. It being summer time I am a shade or so darker, and I used this as an excuse to pick up this bad boy. Its a bit pricey for drugstore being anywhere from 10-12 dollars depending on the store. So I went a shade up from my normal true match shade, which if you know the true match line, it makes it easy to do so. It is broken up into three categories , cool, warm, and natural, so its pretty easy to find your shade. (for reference its natural beige about 3 shades in)
The first thing that impresses me about this product is the fact that it has a pump, the original true match does not, so this was a win for me.
Its a pretty thick fondation, I would said about medium coverage, it doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the skin, or as I call it "when you want to claw your face off" feeling. It lasted me a pretty long time (after setting with a setting spray) and it gives this light glow to the skin, there isn't any glitter specks or anything like that in it. its just a subtle glow that just makes your skin look more alive and less flat. Its a good in between from those really matte foundations and those super crazy glowy ones.
When summer is over and I get back to my normal shade, I may mix this with another foundation for a little bit of a glow,. or even cave and pick it up in my normal shade, its pretty perfect for when you don't really want a matte look but still want to look natural, so its a win for me!
I was wearing this foundation in my Blue Eyeshadow look, here is another picture of it.
I hope you guys enjoyed this review! Expect a lot more from me this week!
