If you follow me on youtube you know that I have been struggling with my brows for years, one of my goals this year was get my brows under control.
I have very thicky, bushy, DARK brows. Now one side of my brows has a scar, from having a eyebrow ring years ago and hair hasn't grown over the scar in years. So at a young age I started trimming my other brow to match the length of my shorter brow. What can I say I was young and the idea of filling in my brows seemed like to much work. So for years I just over trimmed my brows and they looked like hell.
I attempted to tame my brows when I was blonde, and stuck with the problem of matching my dark brows with blonde hair frustrated me, but now that my hair is (somewhat) my natural color, dark dark brown almost black, I can tame my brows, a little.
Now I found a brow pencil I like, and normally I would fill in my brows with a black, yes a black eye shadow, it looked really harsh and I wasn't sure if I wanted to splurge on a "brow powder" i have tried tons of drug store kinds, but none of the brown ones were dark enough, my brows are REALLY dark.
So after many times of going to sephora and looking at the Anastasia deply, I caved and bought this little gem, in the color Ebony which is the darkest color they had.
Now at first look the packaging is AMAZING and looks so pretty, well worth the $23 price tag. Its not cheap feeling, but very fancy. Now we all know packaging doesn't make the product.
i use the darker side of the duo, I haven't quiet mastered the fading my brow from dark to light yet, BABY STEPS. Anyways..the darker color is spot on for my hair color, it matches so perfect, and isn't as harsh as a normal black shadow. And what else makes this "brow powder" different than say, an eye shadow, it feels different when you shape your brow. It seems to stay where you put it, doesn't smudge easy or smear, and seems to sort of look more like hair, than an actual eye shadow. It also goes over my scar very nicely.
The bottom swatch is the lighter color and the top is the darker, I havent tried the lighter one yet but the darker one is perfect for my hair.
Did you guys see my look the other day? i used the brow powder in that look and it looks a TON better than my other brows. Tho I am still working on what I think is the perfect brow shape, I think a good step to mastering my brows is a good powder, and this powder is a big help..S
So if you are new to doing your brows or a pro at it, I think this brow powder is a must have. The line comes with tons of shades that I am sure you will find one to match your hair color. Definitely a A+ in my book and a step towards me mastering the art of my eyebrows.
