Believe it or not one of the most "requested" theme for my OOTD's has been Doctor Who. Since I started doing these on my youtube and now on my blog, lots of you have said "DO SOMETHING DOCTOR WHO INSPIRED" but the problem was, I had nothing in my closet to do so, until a few months ago. Now most of you wanted 10th or 11th doctor inspired looks, and maybe I have something in the works for those, but I wanted to do something for any doctor who fan, if you are "new to who" or been a fan forever. If you love the 10th doctor (like i do) or the 4th, or you adore 11, this doesn't really pick favorites, but shows a way to share your love of all things Timey Wimey!
First off lets talk about the skirt, I had been eyeing this skirt forever on Heruniverse.com, if you follow me on youtube, instagram or facebook you know I adore the whole Heruniverse brand, its basicly heaven for any fangirl who doesn't just want to wear tee's to show her love of a fandom. What is GREAT about Heruniverse is they carry PLUS SIZES, yes PLUS SIZES. If you remember my rant awhile back was some sites that carry clothes that appeal to my "nerd side" don't really carry plus sizes, that claim clothes have a good "stretch" to them, but really now? I want something that fits! And HerUniverse's plus sizes are amazing! I am a xl or xxl depending, each item has a description and says if the model went a size up or down from their normal size, to help with picking out the item (some dresses run small or bigger).
I had been wanting this skirt for a really long time, and its awesome because HerUniverse is also sold at Hot Topic (and also thinkgeek.com) so one day I was in my local hottopic when they had a sale, so I got this baby on a buy one get one half off, so it ended up being a little cheaper. I loved the pattern of the dress, with the shades of blue for the tardis, i knew I had to pair it with a blue shirt of sorts, and thats what I did! The skirt is super comfy, and doesn't cling to any unwanted areas, its just a great skirt.
For the shirt I wanted a blue shirt that matched one of the tardis, and it was pretty hard to find, but I ended up getting this one at target, I paired it with a pair of black shoes, and in my video (posted below) you see I wore a black jacket because I knew it would get cooler at night, and the jacket sort of broke up all the blue. Its a pretty simple outfit, but really packs a punch with the blue and the print so I wanted to keep the rest simple with just the black jacket and shoes. I did however had to pair it with my tardis necklace, I mean it was just so perfect I had to wear it.
My makeup? Well its warm and summer, and I didn't feel like doing much so I just did my go to lazy girl summer makeup, very little on the face but my kelly MSF (review in my last post) and just the naked 3 pallet on my eyes, simple, but still pretty.
So I hope you guys finally enjoyed my doctor who inspired OOTD, there MIGHT be another one coming soon, I know you all were waiting for this one and I am glad to show you how I dressed up my HerUniverse tardis skirt! Thanks for reading and make sure to watch my video below for a better look at this outfit!
