I have said it before, I am anywhere between a L and a XL I am not HUGE but I am also not skinny either. I have big boobs, and big hips and I consider myself plus size, but I am not ashamed off it, I embrace my body.
I go to look at a cute top that I would like to buy, I go to click on the sizes, what do I see? It only comes in XS, S, and M, and very rarely do i click on a shirt that is in a size L let alone XL. Or they have the function to "filter" the sizes and I lit Large or XL and I get TWO, or THREE things, out of 10-15 pages....what the fuck is that? You can carry a XS but not an XL?
Now being a bigger girl for most of my life, I have learned most stores won't carry your size, I have also seen over the years a lot of stores add on "plus size" sizes, but most stores, online or in malls have L, and XL, sure some stores may run small or larger in those sizes, but they at least offer it.
This just recently pissed me off because I just watched a haul video were I saw a fellow youtuber rave about a website and gave all of us a coupon code to check out the site, so I did, I thought what she was wearing was cute and I figured "why not" now I went into each category , Dress, Tops, Blouses, Sweaters, Leggings. Hit the little filter by size, and each time I got one or two things, and they were basics like a black vneck or black leggings. What the fuck?! I am sorry us plus size girls have style too. Why is it when most sites offer Large or Extra Large its always something basic? That Galaxy Dress I thought was freaking cute, nope only in XS and S. I really wish more or these trendy sites knew this and had more sizes then XS, S, M and sometimes L.
So that's it, thats my rant. Just know that I will not be shopping at your site for a plus size black vneck, and standard black leggings because thats all you offer. And no I will not buy your medium and hope it fits me, thats just ridiculous.
Next time someone mentions a site in a haul they should have a disclaimer "if you are bigger than a small or a medium don't even bother checking this site out its useless" because that would be a big help.

I feel you, but in kinda the opposite way, I guess just sizing sucks in general! I am pretty slim and size Small at Forever 21 is often too large for me! It sucks.
ReplyDeletei think most places cater to the "average" size when i go to bigger name stores they often have more smalls and mediums than XS, L or XL. The rack will have 6 S 6 M and 2 of all the others. Its so frustrating when you are going through all the shirts going"not my size, not my size, not my size" not everyone is average size, there are bigger AND smaller girls.
