Are you guys sick of me doing Star Wars themed OOTD's? I hope not because honestly most of my closet is Star Wars related. And I can never get enough of my nerdy Star Wars outfits!
This outfit I have been wanting to wear since I got this amazing skirt made for me. And it being the first day of spring I figured, oh hey why not?! So of course I kept the focal point of the outfit the skirt, which how amazing does it look? Seriouly I am in love with the pattern and it fits perfect! And I know you all are wondering "Ashley where did you get that!" Well I am lucky enough to have a very talented friend who had posted a skirt she made on instagram so I had asked her "can you make me a star wars skirt!!"and that started the wonderful journey of making this skirt.
I was very excited because well though a lot of places makes skirts similar to this one, they don't make them in bigger sizes to fit me and since she was making it for me, all I needed to do was send her my measurements after we decided on a fabric and boom, this amazin g Star Wars skirt was born! And I absolutely adore it! Its not cheaply made, it fits me perfect and is very flattering on me. So I had to plan a whole outfit around it and share it with you guys, and send you along to her shop on Etsy because I know a lot of my readers are little nerds like me, and also some of you are bigger gals and have shared the struggle with me of finding cute clothes. And since Sarah goes by your measurements, it will fit perfect! (the link to Sarah's etsy shop will be listed at the bottom of this post!). And before you guys say anything like I was paid to say this was awesome. I paid for this skirt myself, and was very pleased and super excited to wear it and share it with you all, seriously its my new favorite Star Wars piece and the fact it was made just for me makes me feel special!
Now for the rest of the outfit I wanted to keep the focus on the dress (because it is pretty busy with the pattern), so I paired it with a simple black v-neck I got from Target, my black tights from Forever 21+ and rather go for flats since it was kind of wet out this morning from rain I wore my trusty Torrid studded boots, which you all know I love to wear as much as I can. And my plans for the day meant walking around a lot later on this afternoon I wanted to be comfy, and those boots are perfect for that. Seriously I adore them!
I paired it with my favorite pair of sunglasses I got at forever 21 a long time ago, and since I was planning on wearing sunglasses today I didn't go to crazy with makeup, I did do a little smokey eye with my Naked 3 pallette and added a little rose gold liner just for fun, but my makeup is pretty simple aside from the red lipstick which is from a MAC collection a few summers ago (whatever the sailor one was in 2012). I finished it all off with my jacket I got at Dots a few months ago which kind of pulled the whole look together. I was having a problem because I was a bit chilly with no jacket and a few of my other jackets didn't go with it right, but because this one is a bit of a cropped jacket I felt it went perfect! And adds a bit of edge to the whole outfit.
So that is it! my new favorite Star Wars themed outfit with my new favorite Star Wars skirt I got from LOVEmoda on Etsy! If you want to check out Sarah's store go here:
