Plus Size OOTD - Edgy Spring Look

Ever have an outfit in your head for awhile but can't find the right pieces for it? This has been the case with this one. I have had this idea for floral and some kind of denim for awhile now but I haven't had the right pieces for it. Until last week when I got these floral jeggings from Target. While putting it together I felt inspired by my friend Jordan (you all know her, she is a regular guest blogger!) She always puts her chambray over a lot of her outfits, and it looks damn cute, and recently she paired it with a floral dress, so I decided to do my own twist, and this was the outcome!

The outfit its self is casual, comfy and simple, I love the whole floral mixed with denim trend going on, and tho I am not one to bust out wearing tons of flowers, I wanted to do my take on it. I found these jeggings at Target, they were darker, and not to POW in your face like most floral pants I have seen. Tho I like those, and find they are cute, they just don't fit my style. I don't think I could pull it off. These? Being a bit darker, and the colors more my scheme of things, it was a win.  I paired those with a simple pair of black tennis shoes I bought last year for super cheap for outfits like this when you aren't sure if you want to wear flats, or boots, they are just kind of casual but don't clash with the outfit.

I decided to keep my top black, it went with the jeggings and it wasn't to flashy, its one of those longer tshirts so it covered some of the back side of my jeggings, even though they are jeggings I still felt odd wearing them with out covering my butt a little haha! Now I have had this chambray for awhile, I bought it last summer from Torrid and wore it a few times, but I have a hard time with denim tops because I don't want to put it with jeans, and tho I have a lot of colored pants, I really wanted to do something like this look, floral! I find it breaks up the black nicely and the contrast between the two is really great, and to me, this my MY spring outfit. I know to most its dark, but with my style and how I dress this is my kind of spring outfit.

My makeup is just simple, I was running errands and didn't want to look overly done up, my hair is a crazy mess as always, my only accessories today is my bag and my glasses, because like I said I was keeping it simple, but that my friends is my kind of "spring goth" or an "edgy spring"  outfit I guess, I am going to have a hard time naming this one but hey, whatever its fun its floral, and I love it!

Thanks for reading, remember to follow my blog for more updates!
