I get a lot of requests to review a lot of dyes, and the pravana locked in dyes were released during the summer, and I got a ton of people asking me if these dyes really do what they say they do. Irresistible Me Hair Extension Review.

Hey Everyone! I have an awesome post for you today. I was contact last month by Irresistible Me to review some extensions Which is awesome. It took me a little bit to get around to doing this, because I had so much going on at the end of July, but here I am ready, with newly dyed extensions to let you all know what I think! 

Now like always just because I was sent these extensions to review does not mean I am going to lie about what I think. If I love them, I love them, if I hate them, I will tell you I hate them. Its my honest opinion in the product because I don't to mislead you guys, THAT being said, lets get onto the extinctions!  

This blog post is going to go with a video that will be linked below, I am going to go more indepth about how the extinctions came in the video, And what not. But first let me say I got the Silky Extensions in the Lighest blonde, 18 inches and 200grams  Now at first on the website it can be over whelming trying to pick length and grams and color. Know that these CAN BE DYED, they are real hair, so if its not 100% close to your color, or you have funk hair like me, you can dye this to match you. Which is awesome. 

I know at first I was a bit overwhelmed by the inches and grams, but I did a little research and mostly found out if you have THICK hair you want to go with the higher grams if you are going for lengh, Because you don't want a lot of hair up top and then the extinctions to be thin. If you have thinner hair, you may wanna go for 100grams but if you have thinner hair and want more volume, go for the 140grams and maybe 200grams. Thats what I learned just doing a little google search. So thats what I went by. I will say for shits and giggles I looked at my Sallys brand extention box to see how many grams that is, one box of clip in extensions (at $119) is 70grams. SO thats almost half of what the middle ammount of this brand. So just keep that in mind.

 I have thick hair, so I went with the 200grams.Which is A LOT of hair. This is what you get:

I was kind of shocked at first because most brands give a lot of the 3 clip but after putting them in my hair i noticed I really liked the 2 clips more than the 3. so that worked out. Putting them side by side with my other bands, these are thicker by them selves, and shed less, and just over all feel better than my Sally brand extensions, which is pretty awesome considering depending on the length and grams you get, some are cheaper or even around the same price. But the best part, the crowning jewel of this set? The layered 4 clip...

I was so shocked when I seen this bad boy. I normally clip my three clips together in a layering fashion for the back of my head to prevent myself from having TONS of clips in my hair, But this? This does it for you. You really just have to section off the back of your hair clip this in and the most annoying part of extensions (to me anyways) the back of your hair IS DONE. It is PRETTY amazing. This part alone sells me on the extensions. I wish they sold just this part separate, because it can be used alone just to add a lot of color to your hair (if you have brown or blonde) and make it look nature just but one clip! Its awesome, and my favorite part.

So after I looked over the extensions gave them a quick layered trim, I dyed them, My only issue is because they are SO thick, they took a long time to dye. but it was worth it. I just used pravana dyes and copied what I did on my hair to the extentions, since they were so blonde I didn't have to bleach them, After dying them I let them air dry over night (you can blow dry but I was lazy) and I curled them, I find curling them just helps them blend better with my hair, but thats just me,

It did take longer to curl because it was so thick but I really liked that once I put it in my hair, Less clips, but more natural look than any other brand I tried. With sallys I need TWO sets (so $240) just to make it look natural in my THICK hair. This one I only used 5 out of the 10 clips and it looked really good. I could maybe use more to make it a little thicker in the front, but it looked fine to me. Here is a before and after shot.

I am over all pleased with how the extensions turned out in my hair, they look natural, they dont feel heavy on my head with tons of clips, I wouldn't think FIVE CLIPS could make my hair look as thick as it does. I would actually buy a replacement of these once I wear these out (most extensions last 6 months to a year IF used every day.) they are worth the month and you get SO much for it. If you look at the cost of Sallys vs this, and the amount of hair you get, its so worth it, in my opinion.

How to Dye Cosmic Galaxy Hair!

Hi guys! Since I changed my hair color a few weeks back I have been getting a TON of questions on how i did it and what I used, which is a good thing I filmed a whole video on how I did it right?!

My experience using Olaplex

About two months ago I got my hands on Olaplex. and when sharing this on instagram a bunch of you had asked me to do a review, at first I was on the fence about it, because its a salon product and we all know how well those reviews seem to go on youtube, but because more of you are going on amazon and ebay and wanting to try it for yourself, I figured I would give you guys my little in put on it. DIY Galaxy Hair Tutorial

Holy galaxy hair batman! About a month ago I switched up my very purple hair and added a few different tones to it, which can only be described as galaxy madness! I didn't film a tutorial (i will next time), but I took pictures of the progress a long the way. I did not bleach my hair for this, in fact I did this between doing my roots (i do every 2-3 months) as a way to change up my hair. This is how I did it.

So this has been the most requested video for me to do in a long time, my "Everything you need to know about bright, unnatural, multi color hair" video! It took me some time because I had to go through everything I had, all the comments on videos, and put together a well rounded video for you all. I know I am not a licienced Pro, I am just your every day person doing this, but I have been DIYing my own hair since I was 13, so I have developed a pretty good idea of what I am doing, I am still learning, but this is how I do it myself, with out going to a salon, And this is what works for me, so I hope it helps you guys!

Vitamin C to Remove Hair Color, does it work?

Recently I was going from Purple to Teal with my hair color, and I didn't want to use bleach, and my favorite color remover from Sally's was out of stock. I had been told a bunch of times to try this kind of odd way to remove hair color, it wasn't the fastest, and you needed to do it a few times, but I was told it works and leaves no damage on your hair. I had just ordered my dye online so I had about a week to wait, and figured, why not? If it doesn't work then its not harm to my hair, and what I needed only cost me about $7 dollars. and it would make a neat blog post about if this really worked or not. So here it is, my experience using Vitamin C to remove my hair color!

Before I get started I will say I use Pravana vivids dye which is pretty hard to remove from your hair, once its there, its there for awhile. So I wasn't expecting this to remove my color in one go, but here is what I used:

1. Vitaman C Tablets (1000mg). You can also use powder, but I couldn't find any. I put mine in my magic bullet and turned it to powder, which made it easy to mix. You can also crush it by hand if you need to.

2. Head and Shoulders Shampoo.

Now I am not 100% sure how it works. I have read diffrent places that the vitamin C opens up your hair to remove more color and the head and shoulders strips the color from your hair. I know the head and shoulders part is true because I have used it alone to help  fade my hair faster, the Vitamin C just sort of boots it up to help remove the color.

How I did it:

I've seen in videos and blog posts people use only a few tablets and really didn't see a lot of results, in others I seen people use spoonfulls to make a paste. and I felt that way was the way I was going to go. So thats what I did. It may vary depending on your hair thickness and length but I started off with a table spoon of powder and mixed it with a equal amount of shampoo until it became a paste, added it to my hair like I would a bleach or a dye, and mixed more as I needed (just so I wouldn't waste the powder). It took about 3 mixes to cover my whole head. I also damped my hair before hand to help the shampoo. Once I was done I sort of scrubbed my hair with the mixture in it, and put a shower cap on, let it sit for about 30-45 minutes then took a shower to wash it out. Before I washed it out when in the shower I made sure to scrub my hair reall well, you could see the dye come out from my hair as i did this. I rinsed in warm water (which also helps remove dye).

The first time I saw a little difference, I knew it would take a few more times so I did it twice in a week, the same way each time and this was the results:

Each time I kept losing more and more of the purple, It seemed to pull the dye from my hair quicker than using just the head and shoulders (which I found I had to use for about 2 weeks alone). With pravana that is a strong staining dye this is pretty good. I like how it came out with out hurting my hair, but there are some pros and cons to this method. 

- It does remove the color, but it also takes time. If you need a quick fix this may not be the right thing to do.

-  Even though it doesn't hurt your hair, it does leave it sort of dry for the first week so you will need to use a good moisturizing mask. 

- It also leaves the hair feeling "gummy" right after its done, it goes away once the hair is dry, but it just feels odd at first. 

- Though it removes the color, it sort of leaves it patchy, do you may need to go in and remove just some areas if the color is still strongly there.

My advice though is wash up all the pills at once or buy powder, and add as much as you can to the shampoo, that helps remove the color, only doing two or three pills isn't enough to strip the color from your hair. 

End result it, yes it works, but you need the time to do this. Most days I don't plan ahead on my hair color, I just kind of do it. But if you want a safe way to remove color and don't mind waiting, this could work for you.

How to stop hair color from fading!

One of my most asked questions not just on the blog or my youtube but in real life is "how do you keep your hair so vibrant" or "how does your hair always look so bright, what do you do?" Most of the time when they ask this I ask them how do they wash and take care of their hair. Most of the time they aren't aware that the shapoo they are using is stripping their color, or  that even though they are using the right shampoo, they wash their hair every day. Or how did they do it from the start, what kind of dye did they use, to if they have virgin hair or not. This all factors into how long your dye will last in your hair.

Having bright, or un-natural hair isn't a task, or hard work like some people make it out to be. Its really a matter of knowing what to do, and what not to do, and changing up your hair routine. Mine is simple, and honestly helps my hair last longer. So to help you guys out I made this video telling you what I do, and what you can do to help your hair color last longer.

How to dye your hair silver or lavender.

If there is one thing I get a TON of questions about its my hair. I knew even though I was going silver/lavender for a short time, it would still get a tone of questions about it. And Well I did. And like every time I do something with my hair, comes a video on how I did it. this one simply being an updated (and better quality) way of how I dyed my hair a short of lavender/silver ombre. I did this for a slight change for a little while, Its always nice to switch it up a bit.

Overtone Haircare review

So after using the Overtone Haircare in Purple for two months, I have a pretty good opinion on if it works or if you can just cut your dye with your normal conditiner, Check out my latest video to see if I really love, like or hate this product! Removing bright hair colors with little damage

When I was in high school I used to change my hair color so much, and I might of been dumb and thought that every time I went from pink to green to blue i had to bleach my WHOLE head and lets face it, that killed my hair. After years and years of learning from my mistakes I have come up with this way of dying my hair from one extreme color to another with very little damage, and here is how I do it. 

Dying my hair red again!!

Its amazing that a hair cut can make you feel a ton better!

Ever get a hair cut and it just makes you feel 100% better? Thats how I feel today.

I haven't cut my hair since I decided shaving my side was a good idea. So my "longer" side had gotten quit long tangled and annoying! I barely did anything with it and found curling it was about the most I could do with it besides a pony tail. It was time for a trim. Since I am growing my hair out a little I didn't want to take of a lot of length more of just shaping my hair cut and making it a bit more manageable. I am lucky and one of my close friends does hair so she was able to do this for me, and do that I wanted.  I feel a whole lot better now. Before I just kept my hair in a tiny pony tail and just kind of got mad at it whenever I tried to do anything. now? Happy hair happy Ashley!

Ion Color Brilliance Brights Semi-Permanent Hair Color in Purple

First off I want to say I sort of hate writing reviews like this, but I have to share my experience with this product with you guys. And before you read on, yes I have been dying my own hair for over 12 years, different colors, all kinds of brands, and I have NEVER had this issue, ever. 

So here is the story, I was out of my favorite purple hair dye, I had a TINY bit left, not even enough to retouch up the purple I have under my hair. So I went to Sally's and I was told to try the ION Brights line, by a few people and like always that were out of my favorite purple, so I said why not? This product is under $5 so what would it hurt? It also came with a "free" clear dye to make "pastel" colors. 

I bleached my hair like I normally do, the dye calls for your hair to be dry when applying it. So I left my hair dye, and I applied the dye. The Texture of this product is gross, its dry and you need SO much to just cover ONE strip of hair, I used a quarter of the tube on the one strip of hair I just bleached. So I let it sit on the fresh bleached hair, and on the other purple hair I had. It says let it sit for 20-45 minutes depending on how vivid you want it. So I let it sit for OVER an hour. And this is what I got.

The front part was BLEACHED hair, the strip behind it was already a bit purple from the other dye I used. But that is over an hour, on very lightened hair. If you can see it barely took to the roots and turned it kinda gross colored, and it turned the rest a sorta muddy purple. The other colors I "touched" up with, it barely took to at all and looked like faded purple hair. I waited a day and ended up using the very little I had of my other purple to make it look decent until I ordered a new color online. But never again will I use this dye.

Also the clear dye is complete bullshit, if you want PASTEL HAIR go buy conditioner you will save yourself the money and it will come out better. I have a video on how to make your own dye on my youtube.

I hope this was helpful for you guys, though I dislike writing bad reviews, sometimes you have to, to prevent other people from making the same mistake.
